„White Box Preview“ items are enemy packs that are before retail release and without retail packaging. We have a small supply of the Preview Versions of the sets in the warehouse. These include all of the same production quality plastic miniatures, game cards, enemy record sheets, etc. but does not include the retail packaging.
The Swamps of Jargono are home to massive creatures with thick, scaly hides that can deflect all but the sharpest blades. To bring down these beasts, the Serpentmen have developed powerful engines of war like the Venom Strike Ballista. Carved from thick Malaru Tree trunks, and bound with woven rope from the Tee-tee vines of Bakara, these deadly weapons fire hefty Dark Stone tipped bolts that can puncture even the toughest hide, or skewer a man with devastating ease.
This Enemy Pack contains everything you need to encounter the deadly artillery of the Serpentmen, the Venom Strike Ballista. Included are 1 XL Venom Strike Ballista model (including two crew that are attached to the base with the ballista), the large Enemy Record Sheet for it, and all of the Cards needed to add this tribal weapon of war to your games of Shadows of Brimstone.
As an artillery piece deployed by the Serpentmen, the Ballista stays back, letting loose massive bolts at their foes with often gruesome results. Though an agile Hero may dodge these bolts if they are fast enough, it only takes one well-placed hit to have devastating effect.
NOTE: One of the Epic Threats included offers the opportunity to come face to face with a battery of 2 deadly Venom Strike Ballistas! This can be a deadly challenge, but also great fun! As normal, if you only have one Ballista model, than this is treated as a single Ballista with a free Elite ability.
